Philosophy of Our Practice
We want to make your orthodontic experience as enjoyable as we can, with lasting results. We are dedicated to using the appropriate treatment tailored to your individual needs. Some patients require two phases of treatment and others require only one phase. Complex cases may even require the combination of orthodontics and orthognathic surgery. Our goal is to treat each patient to the highest standard of care.
First Visit
Our complimentary first visit entails a visual examination to see what treatment is needed and when. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends age seven as the best time to see a child. Many of our referring dentists and pedodontists are well versed in determining the best time to see an orthodontic specialist. Dr. Devian can decide on the necessity of early treatment (two phase treatment) or if waiting for all of the permanent teeth to erupt (one phase treatment) is a better option. If your child is not ready for treatment we will continue to see them on a regular observation schedule until it is time to begin.
Orthodontic treatment can be successful at any age and we encourage adult care. Dr. Devian will discuss the types of treatment available, the style of braces and the length of treatment. Clear braces are often an excellent choice for adult treatment.
Appointments
We will gladly schedule your appointments around work, school and other activities. We are in the office late on Monday evenings and try to schedule appointments after school for our school-aged patients.
Sterilization
Our office offers the most up to date sterilization system available.
Financial & Insurance
We offer payment plans extending over the time of orthodontic treatment. If you have orthodontic insurance, we will gladly assist you with predetermining benefits and billing during treatment. While most insurance plans will not completely cover the cost of braces, many can help by offering a lifetime maximum benefit. For your convenience we accept cash, checks, Mastercard, Visa and Discover.
Emergency Care
Emergencies do arise during orthodontic treatment, such as loose wires or brackets. Please let our office know if you have any difficulty with your braces between scheduled appointments. We can schedule an appointment to resolve the problem.
